Alabama A&M 10k

The Alabama A&M 10k Road Race was held Saturday, June 12, 2010 on the campus of Alabama A&M University in Normal, AL. The Alabama A&M 10k road race is one of the longest running races in the area. Saturday was the 39th running. It once finished on the track at the old A&M football stadium. There is a lot of history with this race. It was fascinating today to hear stories of A&M 10k races of years past.

This is also one of the toughest races in the area. The second Saturday in June in North Alabama will be both hot and humid. Today was no exception. Add to that one of the steepest hills on any road race. And then you run that hill twice. Hardcore runners in the area know and love (hate) this race.

There were a few Limestone County Runners who finished this hot, humid, hilly, difficult 10k. Congratulations!
