OK. So, I haven't updated this blog in way too long. I've missed pretty much all the spring races including the Big One for North Alabama, Cotton Row, as well as the big Run Across Alabama earlier this month to raise awareness of Tay Sachs, with which little Elliott Schotz has been diagnosed.
Eventually, I'll backtrack and get it all on here.
For now, though, we're going to follow Huntsvillian Kathy Youngren as she runs what is considered the toughest road race out there: The 135-mile Badwater Ultramarathon, a trek through California's Death Valley with temps commonly soaring up to about 130 degrees Farenheit.
The race starts Monday, July 13 with the first wave of runners taking off at 6 a.m (PDT).
