Independence Day 5K results

The Independence Day 5K results are posted at
The race was held this morning at Sacred Heart School in Loretto, Tenn.
Limestone runners in attendance include:
* Bud Bowen, 59, of Elkmont, who ran 20:31 to take first in his age group; and
* Glen King, 47, of Athens, 25:31.
The event also included a one-miler.

Don't forget about the Run for St. Jude 5K, coming up Friday evening, July 11 at McFarland Park in Florence.

Running as Art

An art exhibit at London's Tate Britain gallery features actual runners. The exhibit, by artist Martin Creed, is entitled "Work No. 850."

Weekend Results

Two popular 5-mile races took place Saturday morning in North Alabama. The Spirit of America run in Decatur and the Helen Keller Festival run in Tuscumbia.

Each event also included a one-mile fun run, with awesome participation. The Spirit of America one-mile results are included in the results for the 5-miler.
